Mellange Studio Voted "Best of 2010" by The Knot
Mellange Studio was just voted "Best of Weddings 2010" winner by "The Knot." The Knot.com is the nations #1 resource guide for weddings. Every year, brides on TheKnot.com vote for their favorite vendors and this year, we were voted a Best of Weddings winner!
This is by nomination and votes which also involve input by TheKnot.com, photographers, wedding planners, hotels, make up artists, and more. We will be featured on theknot.com, weddings.com, the knot 2010 guide, the wedding channel, and more! We are very honored to receive this prestigious award.

Club Sutra - San Francisco CA
Club Sutra is one of the premier nightclubs in the San Francisco Bay Area. If you are ever on Broadway Street - or in SF - you have to check this place out.
High Frequency (bay area night life promotions company) had asked us to make a promotional video to celebrate their 1 year anniversary. Here are some clips we've captured during the night. Enjoy.

Gabi Wilson- The Next Big Thing on Disney!
We've been very honored to follow Gabi Wilson since the age of 7. Her father was one of our first clients when we opened up our office in Vallejo CA. It was our video that we posted on our company youtube page that had initially sparked the interest of celebrities such as Carson Daly, Oprah, The Today Show, and others!
Fast forward 4 years later, Disney is looking for the next Hannah Montana and Gabi Wilson is one of the five finalist! The song she wrote all by herself, "My Music" and Keep On" will be featured. Piano Jam Session Volume #12
Our last jam session we took it back to the 90's so this time around we wanted to try something new and exclusive. With Alicia Keys new album coming out soon, we thought her new song, "Doesn't Mean Anything" would be the perfect choice.
We tried to have a little more fun with the shot selection this time around. Rather than having our usual birds eye view with the camera on a tripod, we decided to add additional camera angles and movements. The unique aspect about this particular blog, was that Christine and I actual shot each other for all the solo shots you see in the video. We had to shoot it in a way which would not reveal to the viewer that there was only 1 person on the piano during those shots.
Thanks for allowing us to share our music jam sessions and visual creativity on this one. Hope you enjoy.
P.S . The audio is a bit muffled on this one - I screwed up placing a microphone too close to the piano - and since I kept messing up, I didn't want to put Christine through another agonizing take - even though she's so patient with me. Peace.

Christine and I wanted to finally do something a lil' different so we decided to mash it up with 2 hip hop classics. Usually I carry the bass line while Christine does the vocals, but this time around, we decided to go crazy and do both and mash it up. We hope you enjoy. Let us know what you want for Volume #11.

June 5, 2009 - Mellange coming to a Sephora near you.
Vinny Minton and I just finished filming a training video for Benefit Cosmetics which will be for the Sephora stores world wide. We had a great time shooting Melissa and Jas who made our job a breeze. Afterwards - we picked up some cool new lenses at the camera store and ate some Japanese food in downtown SF. Our team has been very fortunate to work with another bay area wedding and event video team - Vinny and Ivan of Imperial Productions. Just recently, their artistic work has been featured on the LifeTime channel which did a documentary on Military Weddings. You may notice some of these clips on our Mellange Studio Commercial as well. Nice work gentlemen! Look forward to seeing more videos on air in the future. Watch here.

Our master guru-Crisco Sancho-has done a minor face lift to our page. He's the guy who makes sure all of our machines are running up to par so we can edit your videos.
We've organized the site a little more, added some fresh new flicks by the light wizard himself, Ed Pingol, and of course, added some cool new videos! We're ramping up our team and getting ready for the wedding season. We are so excited to get started as we've been preparing and practicing to make this years wedding videos even better!

"Mellange" derived from the French root word "Melange" which means a mixture or blend of things. Most people use the word in the cooking world, such as a mellange of vegetables.
We use it not only to explain our style of editing but the diversity of our associates. Mr. Richard Barnes has added a very unique ingredient to this dynamic recipe.
One year ago he had joined this mixture of talented individuals and quickly adapted to the work environment. Since he joined Mellange Studio, he has demonstrated leadership, teamwork, originality and commitment. Thank you Rich for your dedication to and loyalty to Mellange Studio. We look forward to another great year with you!

We're proud to announce the appearance of America's Most Talented kid, 10 year old Gabi Wilson, on “The Maury Show.”
Maury Povich’s talent coordinator viewed one of our videos we made for Gabi and contacted our offices seeking Gabi's talents. We were ecstatic to share the good news with Gabi and her parents (Kenny and Agnes).
She has also made other recent appearances on NBC's "The Today Show" and New York's "Showtime at the Apollo" scheduled to air Feb 2, 2008.
Best of luck to your future career Gabi! It's only the beginning.
